Description
The MS4525DO Air Speed Sensor and Pitot Tube Set for Pixhawk PX4 is a highly accurate digital airspeed sensing solution designed specifically for Pixhawk PX4 autopilot systems. Supplied with its own pitot tube assembly, this module delivers extremely precise airspeed measurements using a high-resolution, low-offset digital pressure sensor.
Unlike older analog airspeed systems that suffer from cable noise and ratio-metric output drift, the MS4525DO sensor utilizes advanced digital sensing technology to provide stable and accurate readings under demanding flight conditions.
Powered by the Measurement Specialties 4525DO sensor, this module supports airspeed measurements up to 100m/s (223mph / 360kmh) with a resolution of 0.84Pa, delivering data at 14-bit resolution from a 24-bit Delta-Sigma ADC.
The integrated temperature sensor enables true airspeed calculations through interaction with the MS5611 static pressure sensor on Pixhawk systems.
Because the sensor is mounted away from heat-generating flight electronics, it delivers more accurate air temperature readings than older analog sensor setups.
This airspeed module is supported on all Pixhawk and PX4 autopilot generation boards and includes M3 / 6-32 mounting compatibility.
[Note: This sensor is designed specifically for fixed-wing aircraft. It is generally unnecessary for multirotor drone platforms.]
