Description
The Pixhawk PPM Encoder Module is designed to convert multiple PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) receiver channels into a single PPM (Pulse Position Modulation) signal. This allows PWM-based RC receivers to be used with flight controllers that support only PPM input, including Pixhawk and APM systems.
The encoder can combine up to 8 PWM input channels into a single PPM output, reducing wiring complexity and simplifying flight controller connections. By consolidating multiple signal wires into a single PPM signal line, installation becomes cleaner and more efficient.
The module includes a configurable power jumper (JP1) that provides flexibility when powering the receiver, servos, and encoder. Proper jumper configuration helps protect connected flight controller power circuits during installation.

Important Power Connection Note:
The JP1 jumper provides flexibility when powering the receiver, servos, and PPM encoder. If the receiver and servos are powered directly from the autopilot board, JP1 should remain installed. If the receiver or servos use a separate power source while the autopilot supplies power through the PPM connector, JP1 must be removed to isolate the power supplies and prevent potential damage to the flight controller’s voltage regulator.
