Description
The APM 2.8 Flight Controller is an upgraded version of the popular APM 2.5 and APM 2.6 autopilot systems, featuring a built-in compass for improved navigation and simplified installation. It also provides the flexibility to use either the onboard compass or an external compass via a jumper, making it suitable for multirotors, fixed-wing aircraft, rovers, and boats.
Built around the ATMEGA2560 processor and ATMEGA32U-2 USB controller, the APM 2.8 offers reliable autonomous flight control with support for GPS waypoint missions, telemetry, and mission planning. Equipped with the MPU-6000 6-DoF accelerometer and gyroscope along with the MS5611 high-performance barometer, it delivers stable and accurate flight performance.
Compatible with Mission Planner software, users can configure flight parameters, create waypoint missions using Google Maps, analyze flight logs, and simulate missions using hardware-in-the-loop flight simulation.
